Graduate students work closely with our world-renowned researchers. Research opportunities include nuclear reactor design, materials science, radiation detection, nonproliferation, radiochemistry, radioecology, and waste management. Projects often involve interdisciplinary collaborations with industry and organizations such Idaho National Laboratory, the Department of Energy, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. 

Our exceptional research facilities include the TRIGA research reactor and 25,000 square feet of dedicated lab space, fostering research with a strong experimental focus.
