Nuclear and Radio-Chemistry is dedicated to exploring the intersection of nuclear chemistry, physics, and engineering to address critical challenges in power production, radioactive waste management, and the production of valuable isotopes. This field is integral to advancing our understanding of nuclear processes and developing solutions for some of the most pressing issues in nuclear science and technology.

Research in this area often utilizes the OSU TRIGA reactor, along with other national experimental facilities, to investigate fundamental nuclear phenomena. This includes studying the chemical behavior of radioactive elements, optimizing the production of medical and industrial isotopes, and enhancing methods for the safe and efficient storage of radioactive waste. The research also contributes to improving nuclear reactor design and operation, particularly in the context of next-generation nuclear power systems.
