Jiayu Xu

Jiayu Xu is an assistant professor in the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science.

He obtained his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of California, Irvine in 2019, and his B.S. degree in mathematics from Peking University in 2013.

Weng-Keen Wong

Weng-Keen Wong is an associate professor of computer science at Oregon State University. He received his Ph.D. (2004) and M.S. (2001) in computer science at Carnegie Mellon University, and his B.Sc. (1997) from the University of British Columbia. His research areas are in data mining and machine learning, with specific interests in anomaly detection, surveillance algorithms, and mining large scale datasets. His Ph.D. thesis was entitled "Data Mining Algorithms for the Early Detection of Disease Outbreaks" and he is involved in the field of disease outbreak surveillance.

Justin Wolford

Justin Wolford develops tools for the online program to make the courses more interactive, help provide students with better feedback on technical assignments and make courses easier to develop.

Tom Weller

Tom Weller joined Oregon State University in 2018, as professor and head of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He was with the University of South Florida from 1995-2018. Weller served as the associate dean for research in the USF College of Engineering from 2007-2012, and was the chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering from 2012-2018. He was a founding member of the USF Center for Wireless and Microwave Information Systems and served as its co-director until 2018.

Andreas Weisshaar

Andreas Weisshaar received the Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.-Ing.) degree in electrical engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany in 1987, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Oregon State University, Corvallis in 1986 and 1991, respectively. In 1991, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (now School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) at Oregon State University, where he is currently a full professor.

Huazheng Wang

Huazheng Wang is an assistant professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University. He was a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University. He received his Ph.D. in computer science from University of Virginia in 2021, and his B.E. from University of Science and Technology of China in 2015.

John Wager

John F. Wager received the B.S. degree in engineering physics from Oregon State University in 1977 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Colorado State University in 1978 and 1981, respectively.

From 1982-1984 he worked at Hughes Research Laboratories where he was involved in the development of compound semiconductor devices for high-speed and optoelectronic applications. He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oregon State University in 1984, and is currently a professor in the School of EECS.

Eric Vogel

Eric L. Vogel is an instructor in the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Ecampus online-only program. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University. Eric spent 43 years in the tech industry developing new consumer electronics products, initially as a software engineer but ultimately spending most of his career as a project manager for both hardware and software products.
