Tuition and Fees
All undergraduate and graduate students can find their tuition rate at the Oregon State tuition and fees page.
Tuition
Your tuition rate can be based on several factors, including your campus, the college of your degree program, when you matriculated, and whether you’re an in-state or out-of-state student.
Fees
Some fees are mandatory for all full-time and part-time students enrolling at Oregon State, including fees proposed by the student government.
Cost of Attendance

Financial Aid
Financial aid is money provided to help bridge the gap between your own resources and the amount needed to pay the cost of attending college. Federal and State-backed financial aid might include a combination of loans, grants, and work-study opportunities.

Scholarships
All scholarships are found within Oregon State's scholarship application system, ScholarDollars.
Undergraduate Students
College of Engineering Scholarships
The College of Engineering supports students through scholarships based on academics and need, including emergency funds and scholarships that come with cohort experiences like the Catalyst Scholars Program. It’s all found on ScholarDollars each year.
OSU Scholarships
Oregon State administers both academic- and need-based scholarships through ScholarDollars, the one-stop-shop application.
ScholarDollars shows a personalized list of scholarships based on a student’s eligibility and how to apply for each opportunity.
External Scholarships
OSU ScholarDollars includes an integrated, vetted search engine for over 10,000 scholarships that are sponsored and managed by individuals and organizations that are not affiliated with Oregon State University.
Graduate students
Fellowships are an important source of funding designed to help graduate students meet their educational and research expenses.
Some fellowships are awarded institutionally or by academic college and department committees, while others are awarded by external agencies such as the National Science Foundation and the Social Sciences Research Council.
Funding Opportunities
In addition to loans, grants and scholarships, earning money while attending Oregon State is a great way to support the cost of your education.
Federal Work-Study, general student jobs, and internships can all provide paid opportunities and give you some work experience.
Work Study
Federal Work-Study funding is awarded with your financial aid package, giving you access to part-time, campus-based jobs that provide regular monthly paychecks to cover your day-to-day expenses. Because Work-Study wages are federally subsidized, many campus employers actively prioritize these applicants, though plenty of standard student jobs remain open to everyone.

Student jobs offer more than just financial support. Acquire industry-relevant skills and gain real-world experience, all with a flexible schedule that works around your classes and your life. Jobs range from office support, housing and dining, research, instructional and peer tutoring.

These graduate-level funding opportunities support either teaching (GTA) or research (GRA) assistants.

Discipline-specific Funding
Cybercorps Scholarship for Service
This program provides scholarship packages for up to three years of support for cybersecurity undergraduate and graduate education. In return for their scholarships, recipients work after graduation for the U.S. government in a position related to cybersecurity.
Pete and Rosalie Johnson Internship Program
An opportunity for undergraduate students in the School of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering, the Johnson Internship provides funding in exchange for mentored research hours and presenting a research project at the annual poster fairs.

Student Academic Research Review (STARR)
STARR is a literature review program where participating students select a topic, thoroughly review existing literature about it, and write a review paper evaluating/critiquing the current knowledge and knowledge gaps that exist. They are awarded $4,000 funding, most upon completion of the program.

Center for Advancing Financial Education (CAFE)
CAFE is your one-stop financial wellness center, providing free services to all OSU students. The most popular appointments for engineering students are “Paying for college” and “Budgeting.” College of Engineering-specific CAFE Peer Mentor services are in Batcheller Hall 249.
