Engage with students

Industry members have a variety of options for interacting with students in the School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering (CBEE). Your involvement in the education of CBEE students makes these students more prepared to join the engineering community upon graduation. As an industry member, you can consider:

Collaborating on CBEE Capstone Design Project

CBEE undergraduate senior-level students work on annual capstone design projects throughout the winter and spring terms. Working with industry partners on these projects is an outstanding opportunity for our students to interact with the industries they hope to one day join.

Provide Student Internships

Internships are invaluable experiences for young engineers. Consider participating in the Multiple Engineering Cooperative Program (MECOP) or offering other internships for students at your company. Internships can be posted on Handshake. Questions about offering an internship? Contact our Industry Relations Coordinator, Josefine Fleetwood.

Host an Information Session

As we work to make our students career-ready, interacting with industry can be a great experience for our students to develop their critical thinking and networking skills. Whether you want to hold your own information session or partner with us on a broader event, consider coming to campus and meeting our students!

Create a Named Scholarship or Fellowship

Industry-sponsored scholarships and fellowships helps us attract and retain a talented and diverse student body in the School of CBEE. They also raise the sponsoring company's profile with our students and faculty. For more information, visit the OSU Foundation's Scholarships page

Make a Monetary Donation

Donations go to support ongoing CBEE program development or an in-kind donation of equipment, software, or instructional support for one of the laboratory-based CBEE courses can help us keep producing work-ready students.
