Xiao Fu is an assistant professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
After obtaining his B.S. degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2005, he joined China Telecom (Shenzhen), and then went back to academia two years later. He obtained his master's degree in signal and information systems, also from UESTC, in 2010. In 2014, he received his Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Shatin, N.T., Hong Kong.
His research interests include the broad area of signal processing and machine learning, with recent emphases on factor analysis (tensor and matrix factorization), large-scale optimization for data mining, and applications of deep neural nets in signal processing.
