Biography

"Hi, friends! I am a third-year mechanical engineering major with an option in robotic control! I enjoy researching human-robot interactions and how we can make newer technologies accessible to all. I’ve also been a participant in URSA Engage, a program for undergraduate research for first and second-year students.

Currently, I’m a mentor for first-year and transfer students in LSAMP (Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation) and the SHPEtina Coordinator for Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE ). These organizations help me develop my skills in many ways while building a foundation for a supportive and positive community.

I envision a future where I can contribute as an engineer and as an educator. My dream is to join the 1% of Latinas who hold a PhD in engineering, which mixes my passion for outreach and education, especially in bringing STEM opportunities and representation to K-12 students. My internship experiences in the Diverse Educators Pathway Program have focused on this mission, grounded in the belief that knowledge is power and that by paving the way for ourselves, we create a path for future generations of students.

In my free time, I love designing, playing video games, and spending time with my silly Chihuahua. The best advice I can give to incoming students is to dive into things they’ve never done before. Don’t let fear hold you back from the chances of finding cool opportunities!"
