Ms. Hoffman joined the Civil and Construction Engineering department as an Instructor in September of 2023, bringing with her some four years of industry experience.
She was most recently a Field/Office Project Engineer for Pacific Pile and Marine, where she worked on the Pier 58 Waterfront Involvement Project and Colman Dock Pier 52 renovation, aiding in subcontract management, pre-cast concrete design and crew management. Prior to her year in Seattle, she spent three years with Kiewit’s Bridge and Marine District, working on projects such as the F200 Link Extension (Federal Way Transit Center to Angle Lake Station) and E360 East Link Extension (Redmond to Bellevue). During her time with Kiewit, Hoffman worked in crew management, inspection, material control and contract management while also estimating infrastructure projects across the United States and Guam, with a specialty in superstructure work and concrete takeoffs.
Originally from Goldendale, Washington, Hoffman is an active member in the American Society of Civil Engineers, Construction Institute and Young Professional Council, and Society of Woman Engineers. She is passionate about repairing the future of construction’s infrastructure through teaching future engineers to create more effective engineering project management teams.
