Dominga Sanchez

Dr. Sanchez earned a B.S. in Structural Engineering and a Master's and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. With a strong foundation in structural engineering, she is currently focused on engineering education research, with particular attention to undergraduate engineering experiences and the systemic barriers to engagement faced by historically marginalized students in engineering programs. She is committed to advancing inclusive learning environments that equip students with practical skills, foster critical thinking, and prepare them to address engineering challenges. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Sanchez has led STEM education outreach initiatives in collaboration with community partners and educators to broaden participation and strengthen pathways into engineering careers.
