In this talk, I will present my thesis topic, exploring the visualization of different software metrics in extended reality. I will talk about my background, the software visualization world, the technology behind this, and of course, the research that I produced during my Ph.D. This includes the development of BabiaXR, a web-based toolset for creating XR data visualization, the usage of the city metaphor for visualizing software metrics, and empirical studies where I compared the on-screen environment to the VR environment. I will review my work during the Ph.D., the work I’m doing (as a postdoc), and the work I expect to do in the future. Moreover, I’ll show some live demos that you can visit in a web browser, but I will also bring a set of Meta Quest 3 XR glasses to run the demos immersed in VR.
