- VentureWell: student teams validate technology commercial opportunity (requires Faculty principal investigator)
- NSF I-Corps: Faculty-Student-Mentor teams develop commercialization strategy. Proposals are accepted any time with prior invitation by NSF I-Corps Program Officer.
- NSF Partnerships for Innovation grants: perform translational research and technology development, catalyze partnerships and accelerate the transition of discoveries from the laboratory to the marketplace for societal benefit of NSF funded basic/applied research.
- Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program: funds small business and university collaborative R&D with potential for commercialization.
- Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program: funds small business R&D with potential for commercialization.
