First-Year Academic Standing & Success Appointments
The College of Engineering is here to help ensure that you understand what your Academic Standing really means. We want to work with you to establish a plan that will help you improve your GPA and academic success at OSU.
This page is for those who recently received communications related to their academic standing based on grades from this past term, and that a hold has been placed on their account. This hold will prevent them from making changes to their current registration and any future registrations.
In order to remove the hold, you must follow the directions in the email, and complete a 30-minute appointment with your assigned advisor (listed below).
You can schedule with your advisor by clicking on their appointment calendar and selecting "Academic Standing" as your appointment type. Appointments will be done remotely via Zoom or in-person as available. You should schedule before the term begins or during Week 1.
For virtual appointments, you will be able to find your Zoom appointment link in your conformation email so remember to save it!
Please note that Advisor assignments are based on Last Name alphabet sections.
