Keith Hautala

Keith Hautala joined the marketing and communications team in 2016. As the team’s science editor, he is responsible for preparing stories for publication — ensuring accuracy, readability, and consistency in voice and editorial style. He also writes for the College of Engineering’s print and online publications.

Keith interned at The Washington Post and has worked as a copy editor and online news producer for the Lexington (Kentucky) Herald-Leader and Salem (Oregon) Statesman-Journal newspapers.

Before moving to Oregon, Keith worked as a senior public relations specialist for the University of Kentucky, covering a variety of academic and administrative beats, including the College of Engineering.
