About

Biography

Christopher Parrish is a Professor and the Plasker Faculty Scholar in Geomatics in the School of Civil and Construction Engineering at Oregon State University. He holds a doctorate in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geospatial Information Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's in Civil and Coastal Engineering with an emphasis in Geomatics from the University of Florida. His research focuses on emerging geospatial technologies for coastal applications. Chris is Past President of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS). Prior to joining OSU, he held the position of lead physical scientist in the Remote Sensing Division of NOAA's National Geodetic Survey. He also serves as an affiliate faculty member in the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping - Joint Hydrographic Center (CCOM-JHC) at the University of New Hampshire.
