Chris Palmer

Chris Palmer is the director of strategic communications for the College of Engineering. He leads research communications and reputation management for the college. He is also responsible for editing print publications and online stories. After graduating from Northern Arizona University with bachelor’s degrees in psychology and zoology, Chris earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Texas, Austin. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Diego, Chris left the research lab and completed a master’s level certificate in science communication at the University of California, Santa Cruz. During his science-writing career, he has worked for three institutes at the National Institutes of Health (NCI, NINDS, and NIGMS) and written for more than two dozen publications.
