After graduating with a degree in Nuclear Engineering from OSU, Todd Wareing went on to earn an MS in Nuclear Engineering in 1988 and PhD in Nuclear Engineering and Scientific Computing in 1991 from the University of Michigan. He has become an international leader in the development of radiation transport methods, and is currently a Technical Staff Member of the Los Alamos National Laboratory's Transport Methods Group.
His specialty is the development of advanced spatial differencing schemes and efficient iterative solution techniques for solving the radiation transport equation on both structured and unstructured grids. Wareing has produced more than 40 technical publications and is a primary copyright owner for the ATTILA commercial radiation transport code.
