
Tim Weber graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s degree in 1986, master’s in 1987, and a PhD in 1991, all in mechanical engineering. He is director of HP’s Advanced Materials and Processes Lab of the Technology Development Operation, which focuses on printing technologies, MEMS technologies, applied molecular systems (nanotechnology), and printed electronics. Weber's organization was responsible for the development of the MEMS based advanced printhead technology recently introduced in 2005 across HP's inkjet product lineup.
Before joining HP in 1993, he worked for Boeing’s Helicopter Division in Philadelphia. Weber holds numerous U.S. patents, is a member of the OSU Department of Mechanical Engineering's Industry Affiliates Board, and was inducted in the OSU College of Engineering’s Council of Outstanding Early Career Engineers in 1998.
