
Tom McKinney also has an MS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Washington. He is currently principal vice president and manager of operations of defense and space with Bechtel National, Inc. He is responsible for Global Business Unit projects worldwide, which encompasses a range of military applications and Federal telecoms network design, construction, and optimization. He has served as a principal vice president with Bechtel Corporation since joining the company in 1996. Tom was previously with ICF Kaiser Engineers, rising to senior vice president with responsibilities that included industrial, environmental, and infrastructure business in the Midwest and projects for steel industry customers in the Czech Republic and the People's Republic of China. He has also worked for Combustion Engineering Inc., Burns and Roe, and Washington Public Power Supply System. Tom served three years as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy immediately after graduating from OSU.
