Randy Smith is a vice president and Electronics Business Unit manager for Industrial Design and Construction (IDC), based in Portland, Oregon.
He has been with IDC since the company's creation in 1985. Under Randy's leadership IDC's Electronic Business Unit has expanded into what is today regarded as the leading high-tech design and construction company. He has played an instrumental role in some of the world's most prominent high-tech projects for clients such as IBM, Rockwell International, Hewlett-Packard, United Technologies, Wacker, and Boeing.
In Oregon, he has been a driving force in the development of high-tech research and manufacturing facilities for a variety of clients, including Intel. Randy is a licensed professional civil engineer in Oregon and Washington, and a professional structural engineer in New Mexico, New York, and Washington.
