Biography

Pat McDonald is a career Intel employee and currently the plant manager of Intel's Hillsboro, Oregon Fab 20, which produces Intel's leading edge microprocessors and chip sets. Her prior positions include co-managing the start-up of Fab 22 in Ocotillo, Arizona, as well as various yield, process engineering, and operations manager positions. She has served as the chairperson for multiple virtual factory engineering management forums. Pat's 17-year Intel career started at Intel's Fab 4 as a summer intern, after which she worked in fabs in New Mexico, as well as in Arizona and Oregon. She has published thin films equipment improvement and development papers at SEMICON Korea and SEMICON West. As the Intel representative to the International SEMATECH Manufacturing Initiative, she has toured wafer fabrication factories around the world. McDonald is the Oregon Site Senior Manager Sponsor for Women at Intel Employee Group and a member of the Society of Women Engineers.
