Biography

Mike Baker is a senior associate and director of David Evans and Associates Future Leaders Program. He also holds a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Washington. Between degrees, Baker attained the rank of captain through four years of active duty service in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Baker has a broad base of experience in transportation engineering and planning, focusing on traffic impact studies, coordinated signal system operations, access management, safety, and bicycle facility design. He is currently working on the Columbia River Crossing project team to evaluate alternatives to improve the efficiency and safety of the I-5 corridor where it crosses the Columbia River.
