Biography
Director, Office of Strategic Materials and Transportation and the Office of Alternative Technologies in the U.S. Department of Energy
He was Special Technical Assistant to the Director of Reactor Inspection and Safeguards and Senior Technical Assistant to the Chairman of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He represented the Commissioners in developing U.S. policy following the Chernobyl accident. He was a Technical Leader at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and a hands-on start-up engineer and operator of nuclear power plants. Now retired, he works as a consultant for Complete Resources.
