Max Clausen: Academy of Distinguished Engineers - 2000

Former nuclear submarine enlisted reactor operator, Max Clausen has worked in the US nuclear industry for 42 years. He has held positions of increasing technical and managerial responsibility in the commercial nuclear industry, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Department of Energy. Throughout his career and in his current assignment as Director of USDOE's Office of Commercial Light Water Reactor Tritium Production, Mr. Clausen has contributed to the safe use of nuclear power and to US policies of strategic deterrence and nonproliferation.
