Maryam Aghamirzadeh is vice president for technical support at Cisco Systems. She has more than 20 years of experience in leadership, management, sales, and marketing for both startup and Fortune 20 companies. Prior to joining Cisco, she was a consultant with Peninsula Equity Partners and served as president and chief executive officer of Ponte Communications before the company’s sale to Voyence. Maryam’s career has also included a position as president and CEO at Verecomm, a provider of automated verification and validation software solutions for communications networks, and key positions at Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies. She has also held engineering, sales, marketing, and product management positions at Photo Kinetics, Inc. and Electro Scientific Industries. In addition to her degree from OSU, she holds an MBA from Portland State University.
