Lane Wickwire: Academy of Distinguished Engineers - 2000

Lane Wickwire received his BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1961. He has had a long and successful career with Willamette Industries, a diversified, integrated forest products company with 95 plants and mills which owns or controls 1.25 million acres of forest lands. Beginning as an entry-level engineer, Lane has had many different positions during his 37 years with the company.

Since 1996 he has been Division Vice President at the corporate headquarters in Portland. Just prior to his present position he was Manager of the corporate-wide Paper Group. Prior to moving to the corporate office in Portland he was Manager of the Albany paper mill.
