Biography
LaMont Matthews received his BSME from OSU in 1956 and immediately joined CH2M Hill. At the time of his retirement he had over 40 years of extensive consulting and management engineering experience. He served for 10 years as the firm-wide Chief Mechanical Engineer and was Vice President for Industrial Energy Systems for 14 years. LaMont was a leader in the mechanical area who helped CH2M Hill, during its significant growth period, become one of the world's largest consulting engineering organizations. He has also been a constant force for interfacing consulting engineering with the university and has been an active member of the Mechanical Engineering's Advisory Board.
