Upon earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University, Mike Peery obtained a master’s degree from Stanford University, also in mechanical engineering. Co-founder, president and CEO of Tecplot, Inc., Peery has more than 30 years of technical and managerial experience in the development of software products for computational fluid dynamics analysis and data visualization. Tecplot’s computation fluid dynamics calculations software is in use worldwide by more than 45,000 engineers and scientists. While at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory he performed fluid and thermal analyses primarily in support of a nuclear reactor safety program, and at Boeing he developed and applied advanced Navier-Stokes flow analysis simulation codes as part of the Boeing 747 program. He is a member of ASME and a past chairman of the Propulsion Technical Committee of the ASME Aerospace Division.
