Jay Wilt: Academy of Distinguished Engineers - 1998

Jay Wilt is vice president and chief operating officer for Laughlin-Wilt. Jay is the co-founder of Laughlin-Wilt Group, Inc. In less than 10 years, the company has grown from a start-up to a 280-employee, $30 million operation. Laughlin-Wilt won the 1998 Oregon Manufacturing Entrepreneur of the Year award. Prior to starting the Laughlin-Wilt Group, Jay worked three years at Proctor and Gamble and 10 years at Tektronix in various engineering, production and materials management roles. He is a member of the American Electronics Association, the Excell management group, and APICs. He has a bachelor's in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University and an MBA from Portland State University.
