Following his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa, Jay came to OSU for his MS. During this time he also taught freshman courses in Construction Engineering Management. A Registered Professional Engineer, he has worked for Granite Construction Company since 1986. His current position is Manager for Southern California Operations, out of Granite's Indio, California office. Jay serves on committees for the Associated General Contractors, the Coachella Valley Building Industry Association, and the Federal Highway Administration. He has also served as a judge for the Region Six Associated Schools in Construction, Engineering and Estimating Competition. Mr. McQuillen is a founding and continuing member of the Civil Engineering Advisory Committee.
