Biography

Don Trent received a BS in Agricultural Engineering from OSU in 1962, an MS in Mechanical Engineering in 1964, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 1972. Don worked for many years as a research scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where he became a national leader in numerical thermal hydraulics. He has contributed to the development of many critical codes for reactor core and system safety thermal-hydraulic analysis. His capabilities were recognized with his appointment as Chief Scientist of Analytical Sciences at the laboratory. Don is now Senior Staff Scientist Emeritus of PNNL.
