Barry Winstead is vice president of the Mid-Continent Division for Burlington Resources. Previously, he held a variety of engineering and management assignments in Burlington's Rocky Mountains, Gulf Coast, Mid-Continent, and Permian Basin offices. Prior to joining the company in 1985, he worked for Superior Oil. He has served on the executive committee, board of directors, and as vice-chairman of the Oklahoma Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association, as well as on the board of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association. Barry currently serves on the finance committee of United Way of Midland.
He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Petroleum Institute, petroleum industry advisory board for Texas Tech University's Department of Petroleum Engineering, and executive advisory board for Oregon State University's Department of Mechanical Engineering. He and his wife Barbara have three daughters ranging in age from 12 to 16 years old.
