Alan Crouch is co-director and general manager of the Communications Technology Lab at Intel and has led Intel R&D efforts in network architectures since 1999. He is responsible for driving Intel’s leadership in network processing software, optical networking, wireless USB, ultra-wideband, mobile wireless LAN and WAN, broadband in and to the home, robust networks, trust and security, and wireless sensor networks.
Most recently, Crouch’s teams have delivered platform networking innovations that are being incorporated into Intel I/O Acceleration Technology and Intel Active Management Technology road maps. In addition, Crouch launched Intel’s Communications Technology Lab in the Intel China Research Center, Beijing, and led advanced R&D external engagements with key networking fellow travelers Alcatel, Cisco, Ericsson, and Hewlett-Packard.
