The Path to Nuclear Solutions
Joe Miller, M.S. radiation health physics ’12, applied his degree to a career focused on innovating nuclear solutions for global problems. He is currently the president of BWXT Advanced Technologies LLC. He completed his degree online through Oregon State University Ecampus.
Graduate Student Lena Breuer: Transportation Safety
Lena Breuer, a doctoral student in civil engineering, studies how to make roads safer for cyclists. In the Driving and Bicycling Simulator Laboratory, headed by Professor David Hurwitz, Lena conducts studies comparing different roadway treatments with the goal of mitigating right-hook accidents — a situation where a car turns right into a cyclist who is going straight through an intersection.
