Please note, on the Program of Study (POS) form there is a box where you will be asked to indicate how you will meet OSU's requirement that you have had ethical research training. For MIME students, including Robotics students, the preferred avenue for meeting that requirement is the CITI “Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)” course, although OSU’s GRAD 520 is also an acceptable option.
Oregon State University has partnered with the University of Miami’s Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) to provide online ethical research training free to Oregon State University students. The online training can be found here: www.citiprogram.org. The Responsible Conduct of Research course is relatively short (a few hours), but early completion should be a high priority. Your program of study will not advance to the graduate school without this training.
Upon completion of the entire course, you will see a message that tells you that a completion report has been sent to Oregon State University. That report goes to OSU’s Office of Research Integrity. MIME is not copied on the report. Therefore, please save a PDF copy of your completion report and submit it along with your Program of Study. To do this, indicate "CITI RCR” in the Additional Requirements section of the Digital Program of Study tool, and attach your completion certificate to your POS using the paperclip icon located next to your signature block when the POS comes to you for signing in DocuSign.
