Biography

Xiangqi Zhu received her B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Shandong University, Jinan, China, in 2013 and her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA, in 2017. Since 2017, she has been working as a researcher with the Power Systems Engineering Center, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Golden, CO, USA. She is joining EECS as an assistant professor in December 2023.

Her research interests include modeling, analysis, and control of power distribution system, electric vehicle and renewable energy grid integration and management, and grid resilience.

Her research group are enthusiastic about developing scalable, intelligent, and adaptive solutions for smart and sustainable energy and power systems, to improve the systems resilience for enabling higher level of sustainable energy integration and transportation electrification. Their interdisciplinary research portfolio involves multiple research areas such as power system, transportation system, behavior science, and sociology.
