About
Biography
Rob Hess received his B.S. in computer and information science from University of Delaware in 2003 and his Ph.D. in computer science from Oregon State University in 2012. Before becoming an instructor at OSU, he worked as a research scientist in computer vision at a startup company called IQ Engines and then, after IQ Engines was acquired by Yahoo, as a member of both the Yahoo Computer Vision and Machine Learning team and the Flickr Web Front End team. Rob's teaching focus centers around courses related to the development of modern web and mobile applications.
