Biography

Dr. Harding is an independent professional engineering consultant with focus on sustainability and education. He previously served as Linus Pauling Chair of Chemical Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU), Principal Packaging Scientist with Amazon, Vice President of Applications for Columbia Pulp, and Director of Technology and Sustainability for Willamette Falls Paper Company. While at OSU, he was awarded both the Carter and Austin Awards for Outstanding and Inspirational Teaching, respectively, and was named one of the top three writing instructors over the 25 year history of the Writing Intensive Curriculum. He has additional experience in the paper industry with Georgia Pacific (James River) and in microelectronics with HP Inc. (Hewlett-Packard) with roles in process engineering, research and development, product reliability, global manufacturing, and research strategy. He is a certified Professional Engineer and holds 15 patents.
