Biography

Luis is a distinguished civil engineer who is a seasoned academic and industry professional. Holding a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Luis brings an exceptional civil, heavy civil engineering, and construction management background, boasting over 15 years of industry experience and four years in academia. His impressive portfolio features hands-on engagement in over a hundred small, medium, and large engineering projects. His leadership roles include Project Manager, Design Engineer, Inspector, Site Engineer, and other related positions. Most of his experience was in remote areas of the Peruvian Andes, where he is from. His teaching experience includes more than ten engineering classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

His expertise encompasses various civil infrastructure systems, ranging from water supply systems to roads, bridges, and building systems. Luis's dedication to ensuring project quality, cost efficiency, and timeliness has been evident throughout his career. His relentless commitment to industry standards and meticulous management have consistently delivered successful project outcomes.

Teaching and working in civil engineering and construction management, Luis is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience and a dedication to accomplishing every academic and engineering project objective. His research interest emphasizes the interaction between Natural hazards, Human Perception, and technology in Construction.
