Huaping Liu received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Nanjing, China, in 1987 and 1990, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, in 1997. From July 1997 to August 2001, he was with Lucent Technologies, Whippany, NJ. Since September 2001, he has been with the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Oregon State University, Corvallis, where he is currently a professor. His research interests include ultrawideband systems, multiple-input multiple-output antenna systems, channel coding, and modulation and detection techniques for multiuser communications.
