Devlin Montfort’s research interests include the epistemology of engineering practice and education, how to develop conceptual understanding of complex natural and engineered systems, and how to promote success for students on their own terms. Qualitative research methods: semistructured interviews, thematic analysis, and ethnographic and phenomenological observations.
