They say “You never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” This is the case for Carrie Roberts' start in information security.
In 2006 Carrie completed a degree in computer science and started happily down a career path of programming, ultimately settling in as a web application developer. Things changed when a manager pointed out Carrie's web application failed a security audit or “pentest.” But that hard day turned into a new adventure.
Join us to hear how Carrie's adventure turns out - and get some helpful advice - live during the session. Our industry guest will take your questions following the talk during the live "ask-me-anything" session.
This session is hosted by ACM-W. The Association of Computing Machinery-Women’s Chapter has built a community that celebrates and supports the professional development of women in Computer Science and Engineering. They host fun social events, resume/interview workshops with companies. If you are not a member, consider learning more.
Webinar Wednesdays (which happen on other days of the week) are a series to talks to help students jump start their career in high tech. Everyone is welcome.
