Award Description:
This award was established by Ken and Joan Austin to recognize the contributions by Professor of Mechanical Engineering Bill Paul, whose support and encouragement were so valuable to Kenneth Austin when he was a student in the College of Engineering. Award Description:
In 1997 the College of Engineering Professional Faculty Award was created to recognize the outstanding performance by a faculty member whose contribution and service is not defined within the traditional categories of teaching and research. In 2017 this award was replaced by two new awards, one recognizing outstanding performance in organizational advancement, and the other recognizing outstanding performance in student advancement. As before, eligibility for these new awards is limited to fixed-term Professional Faculty who fall within the categories of administrative, advising, computer/technical, and/or development support. Up to 2 awards may be offered.
