Biography

After receiving a master’s degree in computer science at the University of Southern California, Taymoor Arshi went on to get a PhD at Oregon State University. He was an assistant professor for a year each at the University of California, Riverside and Portland State University. He then worked for two years at Tektronix before joining Intel, where he had a twenty-two year career. During this time, Arshi served as the director of engineering of several divisions in different Intel sites across the country, leading internal startups including the ProShareTM Video Conferencing Division, Peripherals Operation, Intel Online/Web Housing Services, and Telecom SW Operation. Before leaving Intel, Arshi served as general manager for the Manageability and Platform Software Division and then took positions as senior vice president and chief technology officer at Arbitron. Arshi has three US Patents.
