Description
Engineering science is broad, interdisciplinary field bridging the gap between scientific theory and engineering applications. It emphasizes the integration of mathematics, science, engineering, and the arts.
Engineering scientists apply scientific principles and practices to engineering. They work in diverse fields such as biotechnology, chemistry, environmental science, and construction, combining their engineering skills and science knowledge to create solutions for the industry in which they work.
Designed to prepare students to work across engineering disciplines, the program, based at OSU-Cascades, provides a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals that are supported by relevant science and mathematics courses.
Our graduates are ready to work in many fields, including industrial, electrical, mechanical, design, and process engineering, and they’ll also be eligible to pursue graduate studies in any of these fields.
