Description
The Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Products program at Oregon State University-Cascades is one of only a few of its kind in the country. This creative and interdisciplinary program prepares students for a career in the outdoor industry.
Leaders in the industry are constantly looking to hire innovative thinkers who also champion responsible approaches to product commercialization and who understand the need to balance business with respect for the natural world.
Students learn the historical context of the outdoor industry, so they can help shape its future. They’ll study design, engineering, natural resources, outdoor recreation, sustainability, and business with expert faculty who have experience in research, industry, and public agencies, and who believe in environmental stewardship and corporate responsibility. Practicums, internships, and capstone projects are integral to the core curriculum and provide students with practical, hands-on experiences that potential employers value.
Students majoring in other programs at OSU-Cascades can choose to complete the outdoor products minor.
