The Leadership Academy hosts several events throughout the year to promote interaction between students and engineering professionals.
Workshops: In small group settings, engage with engineering alumni and industry partners, and learn how topics of leadership and professional development apply to the engineering field.
Industry tours: Get behind the scenes tours of a wide variety of engineering companies like Boeing, Microsoft, and Daimler Trucks North America. You will learn about professional opportunities and hear from Oregon State alumni about what the companies are like to work for.
Summit: This multi-day event held in fall features a keynote presentation by a prominent leader in the engineering profession, learning sessions on topics of leadership, and networking sessions for students to meet engineering professionals.
Grow to Pro: This event held in winter focuses on building networking and interviewing skills. Prior to the event, students attend trainings on interviewing and networking. Sessions during the event include mock interviews, a networking lunch, and panel interviews with engineering professionals.
