Welcome to the College of Engineering Event site!

As you may know, participating in engineering events is a great way to get connected to your college, meet new people, and share your knowledge with others. Many of the programs listed below involve outreach work with middle and high school age students; they are excited to meet you and learn about your experiences as an Engineer at Oregon State University! Others will connect you to engineering faculty, staff, and peers.

229EECS GraduationLine Coordinator Duties: -As students com in to line up, see their # and check them off your list. -Make sure the students in your line are lined up correctly. -Double check that students in line have actually registered. -Discourage students from leaving the line. -Works with head usher who tells you when and where to walk into the auditorium. -Clean up the Stewart Center as grad is over. -Clean up the Alumni Center after the reception ends (about 10pm). 232EECS GraduationUsher Duties: -Show graduates from the registration area to the area where they'll be lining up. -Make sure seating is corded off for graduates and reserved seating is reserved, for graduates, VIPs. -Help VIPs find their seats. -Let the handicapped know where their seats are and show them to their seats. -Roam aisles looking for grads who have mistakenly sat in audience and make sure they are in line. -Help point out places where guests can sit, seating them as far forward as possible. -Hand out programs at the front of each door. -After ceremony: encourage people to attend the reception in the Alumni Center. -Clean up the Stewart Center -Clean up the Alumni Center (about 10pm) LaSells Stewart Center06/16/12; 6:00-9:30 PM
