HealthSparq User Experience Internship
Portland, OR
This twelve-week full-time internship will begin in May/June 2016
The HealthSparq User Experience Intern will be responsible for creating useful, usable, and delightful user experience for customers.
Provide support to the HealthSparq Team in the following role:

·        Leverage your ability to translate user needs and business goals into effective user experiences for the web. This includes some combination of user experience research, Content Strategy, Information Architecture, Interaction Design (including interactive prototyping), Visual Design, and front-end development.

·        Support other designers on projects and interfaces with UX design team to produce designs needed

·        Apply knowledge and expertise to bring new features and new products to launch

Combine your academic experience with the following skills and abilities:

·        Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program focused on Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Graphic Design or a related field (Candidates who have completed their degree program in the last three months are also encouraged to apply)

·        Prior experience in analytic disciplines such as competitive analysis, clinical research, contextual inquiries, and heuristic evaluations preferred

·        Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

·        Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing requirements

·        Ability to think both tactically and strategically, including high levels of self-direction, innovation and imagination

·        Demonstrated skills in developing interactive experiences for the Web, including consumer web products and application interfaces

·        Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization

·        Background in creating experiences that meet cross browser compatibility targets and responsive design standards. A good understanding of the technical implications of design

·        Strong focus on the user and passionate about the customer experience and usability; experience in user experience testing and analysis

·        Minimum of 3.0 cumulative undergraduate grade point average

·        Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
