Basefit Software Developer/Entrepreneurship Internship
Portland, OR
This internship is scheduled to begin in May/June 2016
We are seeking to identify candidates for full-time roles based on this internship experience.

Cambia Health Solutions has partnered with military health experts to understand and address key factors that will improve and sustain military readiness. This software development engineer will be a member of Cambia's Innovation Force, a small focused team that analyzes and posits elegant solutions to complex problems in the healthcare industry. Responsibilities include rapid prototyping of multiple solutions to a specific problem and iterative refinement of solutions with consumer response. The position requires frequent interaction and effective communication within a diverse multi-disciplinary team.
Combine your academic experience with the following skills and abilities:

*         Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in business information systems, computer science, information system, computer engineering or a related program (Candidates who have completed their degree in the last six months are also encouraged to apply).

*         Candidates who have served on active duty in the U.S. Military within the past 16 months or are currently serving as a member of the National Guard or reserve component are also encouraged to apply and do not need to be currently enrolled in a degree program

*         Strong front-end experience including development projects with one or more of the following key technologies: Ruby on Rails, HTML5, CSS3 and/or JavaScript (prior web experience a must).

*         Minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average.

*         Entrepreneurship or business background a plus.

*         Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

*         Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with excellent organization skills.

*         Communicates clearly in a timely manner in both verbal and written communication with other Software Development Engineers; able to work well with business customers and IT partners.

*         Able to take direction ask appropriate questions and execute the direction and checking in when appropriate.

*         Able to work with minimum direction.

*         Able to plan and manage his/her own work.

*         Strong problem solving skills; analytical and critical thinking.

*         Reasonably good at learning new technical concepts.

*         Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
