INTO Oregon State University (INTO OSU) is a partnership program which provides English language training and academic preparation for university study to international students. The INTO OSU Center serves more than 1,200 students per year with instruction and services which facilitate their transition to life in the US and their academic and personal success.

INTO OSU is located on the Oregon State University (OSU) campus in Corvallis Oregon.  Corvallis is one of America's safest, greenest small cities and has been ranked the fifth best college town in the nation.  Corvallis is located 90 miles south of Portland and is an hour's drive to the beautiful Pacific Coast or the Cascade Mountain Range. Oregon State University is Oregon's leading public research university, with 12 colleges and more than 200 undergraduate degree programs. INTO is an organization working in partnership with leading Universities and investing in the development of world-class international student centers. Each INTO Center is managed by a joint venture management board in which INTO and the partner university are equal shareholders. Since 2006, INTO has successfully launched partnerships with 14 universities in the United Kingdom, United States and Asia. The Oregon State University Center is the first in the US. It was officially established in October 2008.

Job overview

This position will be the lead development resource on reporting projects within INTO OSU.  Projects will support the functional needs of departments and staff within INTO OSU as well as external customers.  The successful candidate must be able to work independently, think creatively to solve problems, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. This position reports to the INTO OSU Systems Integration Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create and maintain data integration between enterprise systems using a DIT (i.e. Jitterbit, Talend)

Review business processes and support streamlined, efficient, solutions

Design and develop solutions in .NET or similar language to meet requirements and reduce manual processes

Ensure data accuracy and integrity of enterprise systems

Migrate existing code from cakePHP

Document processes, code, and test plans

Manage computer inventory and supplies to support staff

Assist in the support and maintenance of Banner coding

Assist Systems Integration Manager with tasks as necessary


Proficient in .NET, PHP, or similar programming language

Proficient in a query language such as SQL

Strong knowledge of data structures and relational database design (Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL)

Strong customer service skills

Ability to create and effectively use test plans

This is a regular, 12-month, 1.0 (FTE) full-time position; salary will be depending on experience, as well as a full benefit package including Medical, Dental, Life/ADD, STD, and 401k
